  the new revised larger print nwt bibles (nwtls-e) are being distributed now.. the margins are quite big in contrast to the skinny text columns.. the same fanciful mini-study material at the beginning and ends.. .

  Good news. Were they able to squeeze John 7:53-8:11 "he that is without sin cast the first stone" back in since this one is bigger and has more room?

  Wouldn't that be a loving provision from the slave?

  Any Suggestions on what to say if elders ask why you stopped going in FS?

  i was curious what might be some good things to say if i am questioned by the elduurs about my decline in fs.

  anything too honest may get me a jc (although that would be for the best in the end..) the co visit is this week so they may be getting more agressive than usual.

  I searched and searched and couldn't find the scripture where it says how many hours of field service hours you have to do each month?

  It shouldn't be as hard as the witnesses make it out to be to serve GOD

  So you see what must all strive to do our very best of working toward the scriptual account recorded at Micah 6:8 "exercise justice, love kindness, be modest in walking with God" and keep close at heart that GOD is not burdensome.

  You can tell them they forgot to put the field hrs. in while they were so busy taking other sciptures out.

  look...i am not an atheist.

  even so, i have never had one prayer answered my entire life.

  the only thing that would even come close was learning ttatt.

  @ the searcher - so you think the WBT$ quite possibly could be the greatest harlot of them all hence "the mother of all the harlots?

  I recall reading a book and the purple song book where they song most of the songs to Christ, but abandoned using Christ in the fore front and attached the name of Jehovah to them as they spoke and preached judgement on all of Christendom as not to include themselves because they carry Jehovah's name.

  They are not unique enough yet ???

  @phizzy - knowing what I do and my take on how the old testament and us no longer being under it, but should use it as a reference to be guided by; I can see how that works together.

  Also, what is BTG? I am not familiar with that term.

For those who still believe in the bible, but just not the Jehovah's Witnesses version of it. I really would appreciate your thoughts and comments on the below questions. Thanks

  What if the prophecy in Daniel spoke of religions kingdoms and not political kingdoms and the Jehovah's Witnesses are the feet and toes mixed with iron and clay?

  What if they are the kingdom to be crushed having involved themselves in the world by means of deceptive greed and false doctrines geared to follow man and not the bible and the word of GOD?

  while i was working as an employee i did not feel like i had the time to read them.

  now that i'm not working as an employee but work as a volunteer to network and maintain workplace skills, i seem to have more time to read.. after reading many threads by former jws, i thought that the following article might help some to heal.

  Long Hair Gal - Unfortunately, among ex-JWs, the topic of the Jehovah's Witness religion will always be the white elephant in the room, no matter how "over" it they claim to be.

  You totally nailed that part. Being a JW was a scarlet letter and being an ex jw most often than not is too.

  @Willow76 - Well said. So very well stated. Would be so nice if the society stepped up and absorbed the cost of your therapy. It is clear they were coupable and should accept the part they played in it. Would that not be the right thing for them to do?

  They cause more depression then people could imagine. Keep being well and don't let anyone still your joy.

  This Weekends SAD Not So Special

  so after being at this weekend's snooze fest i thought the following pretty well summed it all up:.

  if it feels good, looks good, sounds good, tastes good, smells good, or is even moderately enjoyable it is from satan!

  and if you feel it, look at it, listen to it, taste it, smell it, or even remotely enjoy it you are going to die at armagedon.. if you are too busy, too stressed, or barely able to make financial ends meet, you must pray more, study more, go out door knocking more, and give more money to the organization.. if you are a brother and you have been snubbed, slighted, ignored, bullied, and otherwise passed over for any "advancement" in spite of "reaching out", it is your fault!

  @ Hey There. Hang in there. Try not to give him any opposition. Just loving support while asking thought provoking questions in a none defensive manner.

  Is it possible that next time you can put a penny in the donation box so that when he asks you can truthfully answer yes I did! I was so moved by the talk that I gave all cash!

  When we re-read the account we saw that someone also lived on that convenient day. Also, that everyday is someone's birthday and somewhere someone is dying and it doesn't have to do with fact that it's someone's birthday.

  I love to read that the angels came down from heaven rejoicing on the birthday of Christ. The witnesses don't focus or center on that account at all. Not even when discussing the bible readings that cover that part. They have their chosen people they call on to comment who always conveniently skip over that part. Ugggg

  It's so fake and you'll completely miss it if not paying real close attention.
